Why does my child have trouble following directions?

Why does my child say words funny?

Why does my child have difficulty expressing his or her wants, needs, thoughts clearly?

Is my child being made fun of?

Is my child falling behind in school?

Do people have a hard time understanding my child?

My child’s social skills and relationship with peers.

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you should know about our speech-language pathology services, offered in the comfort of your child’s own environment.

If your child’s communication is of concern, simply call us at 704.845.0561. Now’s a great time to learn more about your child’s speech and language and get peace of mind.

With over half a century of combined experience in diagnosing and treating children with speech and language disorders, Child Language and Developmental Speech  offers exceptional quality and service in helping children’s communication needs.

Specializing in pediatrics, our speech-language pathologists are all nationally certified by The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and have experience in making therapy a fun process for children. With experience helping children with autism, fluency disorders (e.g., stuttering), swallowing disorders, cleft lips/palates, language disorders, and a host of other problems, our therapists are able to treat various conditions throughout the wide-ranging spectrum of “speech therapy for children.”

In Charlotte, speech therapy is provided to children from ages birth to 21, and families we serve may be found throughout the Greater Charlotte Metro area: Gastonia, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Matthews, Pineville, Davidson, Lake Norman and Concord in North Carolina; and Lake Wylie, Rock Hill, York, and Ft. Mill in South Carolina.

We provide services with both the child and the family’s needs in mind. Research and explore the links at the top of this page for more details about what we can offer your child in our unique delivery method of customized, home-based service. If you have a child who has difficulties communicating, contact us to schedule a quick, non-evasive screening or a more thorough and comprehensive evaluation.

**We have added Pediatric Occupational Therapy to our services.

On behalf of me and my wife we’d like to thank your company  for its services.  My son has been receiving speech therapy from Jennie Leonzio at your company.  Not only has my son improved by leaps and bounds but he simply loves his Mrs. Jennie!  She has been a pleasure to work with and very helpful with providing us tips to assist our son at home.  As first time parents every bit of advice we can get we really appreciate.  We will recommend your services to everyone with a child that needs speech services.”
