Beginning of the Year Tips!
🎉 Welcome to a New School Year! 🚌📚As we kick off the year, here are a few simple speech and language tips to help support your child’s communication skills at home:
🗣️ Talk Often – Narrate your day, ask open-ended questions, and encourage your child to express themselves. Every conversation counts!
📖 Read Together Daily – Reading builds vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension. Pause to talk about the pictures, characters, and events.
🎶 Sing Songs and Rhymes – Rhyming and rhythm help with sound awareness and early literacy skills.
👂 Be a Good Listener – Show your child that their words matter. Give them time to speak and really listen to what they say.
🧩 Play and Pretend – Playtime is a great time for language! Pretend play builds storytelling, sequencing, and conversation skills.
🤗 Be Patient – Every child develops at their own pace. Celebrate progress, no matter how small!
✨ If you ever have concerns about your child’s speech or language development, don’t hesitate to reach out. Early support can make a big difference!
Let’s make this a year full of growth, learning, and great conversations! 💬💕
