Online Speech Therapy
Online speech therapy provided by Child Language and Developmental Speech offers the same benefits as traditional speech therapy. Taught by our licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologists,(SLP) we use web-based video conferencing to provide real-time speech therapy all over the world.
From the convenience of your own home and on a pre-scheduled day and time that fits your busy schedule (including night and weekend appointments), our speech therapists will engage your child with a customized speech therapy plan.
The interactive activities and exercises chosen specifically for your child will be geared towards reaching their individual goals. Our SLPs will also provide follow-up resources and materials for individual at-home practice between therapy sessions.
And we NEVER charge for a missed session.
Minimum System Requirements
For online speech therapy, you will need:
- An internet connection with minimum 2MBPS download speed
- A Mac/PC/Linux/Chromebook with a camera, microphone, and speakers.
- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safar 11+ (latest release versions)
- Javascript enabled
- TCP ports 80 and 443 open
Note: Virtual speech therapy is not ideal for every client. Our Speech-Language Pathologists will help determine if this is a good option for you
Getting Started is Easy
Step 1: Schedule a speech and language evaluation with one of our licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologists – using the form to the right.
Step 2: Develop a plan-of-action and schedule with your speech therapist, designed to reach your child’s goals.
Step 3: Pre-schedule your virtual sessions for days and times convenient for you.
Step 4: After 3-6 months of speech therapy and at-home practice, we will provide a follow-up evaluation to determine the next steps.
